¹Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation.

²Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song.

³For the LORD is the great God, the great King above all gods.

⁴In his hand are the depths of the earth, and the mountain peaks belong to him.

⁵The sea is his, for he made it, and his hands formed the dry land.

⁶Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the LORD our Maker;

⁷for he is our God and we are the people of his pasture, the flock under his care. Today, if only you would hear his voice,

⁸“Do not harden your hearts as you did at Meribah, as you did that day at Massah in the wilderness,

⁹where your ancestors tested me; they tried me, though they had seen what I did.

¹⁰For forty years I was angry with that generation; I said, ‘They are a people whose hearts go astray, and they have not known my ways.’

¹¹So I declared on oath in my anger, ‘They shall never enter my rest.’ ”

¹Sing to the LORD a new song; sing to the LORD, all the earth.

²Sing to the LORD, praise his name; proclaim his salvation day after day.

³Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples.

⁴For great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; he is to be feared above all gods.

⁵For all the gods of the nations are idols, but the LORD made the heavens.

⁶Splendor and majesty are before him; strength and glory are in his sanctuary.

⁷Ascribe to the LORD, all you families of nations, ascribe to the LORD glory and strength.

⁸Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name; bring an offering and come into his courts.

⁹Worship the LORD in the splendor of his holiness; tremble before him, all the earth.

¹⁰Say among the nations, “The LORD reigns.” The world is firmly established, it cannot be moved; he will judge the peoples with equity.

¹¹Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad; let the sea resound, and all that is in it.

¹²Let the fields be jubilant, and everything in them; let all the trees of the forest sing for joy.

¹³Let all creation rejoice before the LORD, for he comes, he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world in righteousness and the peoples in his faithfulness.

¹The LORD reigns, let the earth be glad; let the distant shores rejoice.

²Clouds and thick darkness surround him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne.

³Fire goes before him and consumes his foes on every side.

⁴His lightning lights up the world; the earth sees and trembles.

⁵The mountains melt like wax before the LORD, before the Lord of all the earth.

⁶The heavens proclaim his righteousness, and all peoples see his glory.

⁷All who worship images are put to shame, those who boast in idols— worship him, all you gods!

⁸Zion hears and rejoices and the villages of Judah are glad because of your judgments, LORD.

⁹For you, LORD, are the Most High over all the earth; you are exalted far above all gods.

¹⁰Let those who love the LORD hate evil, for he guards the lives of his faithful ones and delivers them from the hand of the wicked.

¹¹Light shines on the righteous and joy on the upright in heart.

¹²Rejoice in the LORD, you who are righteous, and praise his holy name.

¹A psalm. Sing to the LORD a new song, for he has done marvelous things; his right hand and his holy arm have worked salvation for him.

²The LORD has made his salvation known and revealed his righteousness to the nations.

³He has remembered his love and his faithfulness to Israel; all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

⁴Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth, burst into jubilant song with music;

⁵make music to the LORD with the harp, with the harp and the sound of singing,

⁶with trumpets and the blast of the ram’s horn— shout for joy before the LORD, the King.

⁷Let the sea resound, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it.

⁸Let the rivers clap their hands, let the mountains sing together for joy;

⁹let them sing before the LORD, for he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world in righteousness and the peoples with equity.

¹The LORD reigns, let the nations tremble; he sits enthroned between the cherubim, let the earth shake.

²Great is the LORD in Zion; he is exalted over all the nations.

³Let them praise your great and awesome name— he is holy.

⁴The King is mighty, he loves justice— you have established equity; in Jacob you have done what is just and right.

⁵Exalt the LORD our God and worship at his footstool; he is holy.

⁶Moses and Aaron were among his priests, Samuel was among those who called on his name; they called on the LORD and he answered them.

⁷He spoke to them from the pillar of cloud; they kept his statutes and the decrees he gave them.

⁸LORD our God, you answered them; you were to Israel a forgiving God, though you punished their misdeeds.

⁹Exalt the LORD our God and worship at his holy mountain, for the LORD our God is holy.

¹A psalm. For giving grateful praise. Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth.

²Worship the LORD with gladness; come before him with joyful songs.

³Know that the LORD is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.

⁴Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.

⁵For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.

¹Of David. A psalm. I will sing of your love and justice; to you, LORD, I will sing praise.

²I will be careful to lead a blameless life— when will you come to me? I will conduct the affairs of my house with a blameless heart.

³I will not look with approval on anything that is vile. I hate what faithless people do; I will have no part in it.

⁴The perverse of heart shall be far from me; I will have nothing to do with what is evil.

⁵Whoever slanders their neighbor in secret, I will put to silence; whoever has haughty eyes and a proud heart, I will not tolerate.

⁶My eyes will be on the faithful in the land, that they may dwell with me; the one whose walk is blameless will minister to me.

⁷No one who practices deceit will dwell in my house; no one who speaks falsely will stand in my presence.

⁸Every morning I will put to silence all the wicked in the land; I will cut off every evildoer from the city of the LORD.

¹A prayer of an afflicted person who has grown weak and pours out a lament before the LORD. Hear my prayer, LORD; let my cry for help come to you.

²Do not hide your face from me when I am in distress. Turn your ear to me; when I call, answer me quickly.

³For my days vanish like smoke; my bones burn like glowing embers.

⁴My heart is blighted and withered like grass; I forget to eat my food.

⁵In my distress I groan aloud and am reduced to skin and bones.

⁶I am like a desert owl, like an owl among the ruins.

⁷I lie awake; I have become like a bird alone on a roof.

⁸All day long my enemies taunt me; those who rail against me use my name as a curse.

⁹For I eat ashes as my food and mingle my drink with tears

¹⁰because of your great wrath, for you have taken me up and thrown me aside.

¹¹My days are like the evening shadow; I wither away like grass.

¹²But you, LORD, sit enthroned forever; your renown endures through all generations.

¹³You will arise and have compassion on Zion, for it is time to show favor to her; the appointed time has come.

¹⁴For her stones are dear to your servants; her very dust moves them to pity.

¹⁵The nations will fear the name of the LORD, all the kings of the earth will revere your glory.

¹⁶For the LORD will rebuild Zion and appear in his glory.

¹⁷He will respond to the prayer of the destitute; he will not despise their plea.

¹⁸Let this be written for a future generation, that a people not yet created may praise the LORD:

¹⁹“The LORD looked down from his sanctuary on high, from heaven he viewed the earth,

²⁰to hear the groans of the prisoners and release those condemned to death.”

²¹So the name of the LORD will be declared in Zion and his praise in Jerusalem

²²when the peoples and the kingdoms assemble to worship the LORD.

²³In the course of my life he broke my strength; he cut short my days.

²⁴So I said: “Do not take me away, my God, in the midst of my days; your years go on through all generations.

²⁵In the beginning you laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands.

²⁶They will perish, but you remain; they will all wear out like a garment. Like clothing you will change them and they will be discarded.

²⁷But you remain the same, and your years will never end.

²⁸The children of your servants will live in your presence; their descendants will be established before you.”

¹Of David. Praise the LORD, my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name.

²Praise the LORD, my soul, and forget not all his benefits—

³who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases,

⁴who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion,

⁵who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

⁶The LORD works righteousness and justice for all the oppressed.

⁷He made known his ways to Moses, his deeds to the people of Israel:

⁸The LORD is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love.

⁹He will not always accuse, nor will he harbor his anger forever;

¹⁰he does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities.

¹¹For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him;

¹²as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.

¹³As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him;

¹⁴for he knows how we are formed, he remembers that we are dust.

¹⁵The life of mortals is like grass, they flourish like a flower of the field;

¹⁶the wind blows over it and it is gone, and its place remembers it no more.

¹⁷But from everlasting to everlasting the LORD’s love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children’s children—

¹⁸with those who keep his covenant and remember to obey his precepts.

¹⁹The LORD has established his throne in heaven, and his kingdom rules over all.

²⁰Praise the LORD, you his angels, you mighty ones who do his bidding, who obey his word.

²¹Praise the LORD, all his heavenly hosts, you his servants who do his will.

²²Praise the LORD, all his works everywhere in his dominion. Praise the LORD, my soul.
