Chronological Plan
Read the Bible in the order that the events happened.
Today, we are reading Psalm 6; Psalm 8-10; Psalm 14, 16, 19, 21.
1 | To the chief Musician on Neginoth upon Sheminith, A Psalm of David. O LORD, rebuke me not in thine anger, neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure. |
2 | Have mercy upon me, O LORD; for I am weak: O LORD, heal me; for my bones are vexed. |
3 | My soul is also sore vexed: but thou, O LORD, how long? |
4 | Return, O LORD, deliver my soul: oh save me for thy mercies' sake. |
5 | For in death there is no remembrance of thee: in the grave who shall give thee thanks? |
6 | I am weary with my groaning; all the night make I my bed to swim; I water my couch with my tears. |
7 | Mine eye is consumed because of grief; it waxeth old because of all mine enemies. |
8 | Depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity; for the LORD hath heard the voice of my weeping. |
9 | The LORD hath heard my supplication; the LORD will receive my prayer. |
10 | Let all mine enemies be ashamed and sore vexed: let them return and be ashamed suddenly. |
1 | To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good. |
2 | The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God. |
3 | They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one. |
4 | Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread, and call not upon the LORD. |
5 | There were they in great fear: for God is in the generation of the righteous. |
6 | Ye have shamed the counsel of the poor, because the LORD is his refuge. |
7 | Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! when the LORD bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad. |
1 | Michtam of David. Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust. |
2 | O my soul, thou hast said unto the LORD, Thou art my Lord: my goodness extendeth not to thee; |
3 | But to the saints that are in the earth, and to the excellent, in whom is all my delight. |
4 | Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another god: their drink offerings of blood will I not offer, nor take up their names into my lips. |
5 | The LORD is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot. |
6 | The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage. |
7 | I will bless the LORD, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons. |
8 | I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved. |
9 | Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope. |
10 | For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. |
11 | Thou wilt show me the path of life: in thy presence is fullness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures forevermore. |
1 | To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament showeth his handiwork. |
2 | Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night showeth knowledge. |
3 | There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard. |
4 | Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun, |
5 | Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race. |
6 | His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof. |
7 | The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. |
8 | The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes. |
9 | The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether. |
10 | More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. |
11 | Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward. |
12 | Who can understand his errors? cleanse thou me from secret faults. |
13 | Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression. |
14 | Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer. |
1 | To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. The king shall joy in thy strength, O LORD; and in thy salvation how greatly shall he rejoice! |
2 | Thou hast given him his heart's desire, and hast not withheld the request of his lips. Selah. |
3 | For thou preventest him with the blessings of goodness: thou settest a crown of pure gold on his head. |
4 | He asked life of thee, and thou gavest it him, even length of days forever and ever. |
5 | His glory is great in thy salvation: honor and majesty hast thou laid upon him. |
6 | For thou hast made him most blessed forever: thou hast made him exceeding glad with thy countenance. |
7 | For the king trusteth in the LORD, and through the mercy of the most High he shall not be moved. |
8 | Thine hand shall find out all thine enemies: thy right hand shall find out those that hate thee. |
9 | Thou shalt make them as a fiery oven in the time of thine anger: the LORD shall swallow them up in his wrath, and the fire shall devour them. |
10 | Their fruit shalt thou destroy from the earth, and their seed from among the children of men. |
11 | For they intended evil against thee: they imagined a mischievous device, which they are not able to perform. |
12 | Therefore shalt thou make them turn their back, when thou shalt make ready thine arrows upon thy strings against the face of them. |
13 | Be thou exalted, LORD, in thine own strength: so will we sing and praise thy power. |
