Chronological Plan
Read the Bible in the order that the events happened.
Today, we are reading Psalm 25, 29, 33, 36, 39.
1 | A Psalm of David. Unto thee, O LORD, do I lift up my soul. |
2 | O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me. |
3 | Yea, let none that wait on thee be ashamed: let them be ashamed which transgress without cause. |
4 | Show me thy ways, O LORD; teach me thy paths. |
5 | Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day. |
6 | Remember, O LORD, thy tender mercies and thy lovingkindnesses; for they have been ever of old. |
7 | Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to thy mercy remember thou me for thy goodness' sake, O LORD. |
8 | Good and upright is the LORD: therefore will he teach sinners in the way. |
9 | The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way. |
10 | All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies. |
11 | For thy name's sake, O LORD, pardon mine iniquity; for it is great. |
12 | What man is he that feareth the LORD? him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose. |
13 | His soul shall dwell at ease; and his seed shall inherit the earth. |
14 | The secret of the LORD is with them that fear him; and he will show them his covenant. |
15 | Mine eyes are ever toward the LORD; for he shall pluck my feet out of the net. |
16 | Turn thee unto me, and have mercy upon me; for I am desolate and afflicted. |
17 | The troubles of my heart are enlarged: O bring thou me out of my distresses. |
18 | Look upon mine affliction and my pain; and forgive all my sins. |
19 | Consider mine enemies; for they are many; and they hate me with cruel hatred. |
20 | O keep my soul, and deliver me: let me not be ashamed; for I put my trust in thee. |
21 | Let integrity and uprightness preserve me; for I wait on thee. |
22 | Redeem Israel, O God, out of all his troubles. |
1 | Rejoice in the LORD, O ye righteous: for praise is comely for the upright. |
2 | Praise the LORD with harp: sing unto him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings. |
3 | Sing unto him a new song; play skilfully with a loud noise. |
4 | For the word of the LORD is right; and all his works are done in truth. |
5 | He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the LORD. |
6 | By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth. |
7 | He gathereth the waters of the sea together as a heap: he layeth up the depth in storehouses. |
8 | Let all the earth fear the LORD: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him. |
9 | For he spoke, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast. |
10 | The LORD bringeth the counsel of the heathen to naught: he maketh the devices of the people of none effect. |
11 | The counsel of the LORD standeth forever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations. |
12 | Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance. |
13 | The LORD looketh from heaven; he beholdeth all the sons of men. |
14 | From the place of his habitation he looketh upon all the inhabitants of the earth. |
15 | He fashioneth their hearts alike; he considereth all their works. |
16 | There is no king saved by the multitude of a host: a mighty man is not delivered by much strength. |
17 | A horse is a vain thing for safety: neither shall he deliver any by his great strength. |
18 | Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy; |
19 | To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine. |
20 | Our soul waiteth for the LORD: he is our help and our shield. |
21 | For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name. |
22 | Let thy mercy, O LORD, be upon us, according as we hope in thee. |
1 | To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David the servant of the LORD. The transgression of the wicked saith within my heart, that there is no fear of God before his eyes. |
2 | For he flattereth himself in his own eyes, until his iniquity be found to be hateful. |
3 | The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit: he hath left off to be wise, and to do good. |
4 | He deviseth mischief upon his bed; he setteth himself in a way that is not good; he abhorreth not evil. |
5 | Thy mercy, O LORD, is in the heavens; and thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds. |
6 | Thy righteousness is like the great mountains; thy judgments are a great deep: O LORD, thou preservest man and beast. |
7 | How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings. |
8 | They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures. |
9 | For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light. |
10 | O continue thy lovingkindness unto them that know thee; and thy righteousness to the upright in heart. |
11 | Let not the foot of pride come against me, and let not the hand of the wicked remove me. |
12 | There are the workers of iniquity fallen: they are cast down, and shall not be able to rise. |
1 | To the chief Musician, even to Jeduthun, A Psalm of David. I said, I will take heed to my ways, that I sin not with my tongue: I will keep my mouth with a bridle, while the wicked is before me. |
2 | I was dumb with silence, I held my peace, even from good; and my sorrow was stirred. |
3 | My heart was hot within me, while I was musing the fire burned: then spoke I with my tongue, |
4 | LORD, make me to know mine end, and the measure of my days, what it is; that I may know how frail I am. |
5 | Behold, thou hast made my days as a handbreadth; and mine age is as nothing before thee: verily every man at his best state is altogether vanity. Selah. |
6 | Surely every man walketh in a vain show: surely they are disquieted in vain: he heapeth up riches, and knoweth not who shall gather them. |
7 | And now, Lord, what wait I for? my hope is in thee. |
8 | Deliver me from all my transgressions: make me not the reproach of the foolish. |
9 | I was dumb, I opened not my mouth; because thou didst it. |
10 | Remove thy stroke away from me: I am consumed by the blow of thine hand. |
11 | When thou with rebukes dost correct man for iniquity, thou makest his beauty to consume away like a moth: surely every man is vanity. Selah. |
12 | Hear my prayer, O LORD, and give ear unto my cry; hold not thy peace at my tears: for I am a stranger with thee, and a sojourner, as all my fathers were. |
13 | O spare me, that I may recover strength, before I go hence, and be no more. |
