Psalms 21,22,23,24

Psalms 21

1LORD, in Your strength the king will be glad, And in Your salvation how greatly he will rejoice!

2You have given him his heart’s desire, And You have not withheld the request of his lips. Selah

3For You meet him with the blessings of good things; You set a crown of pure gold on his head.

4He asked for life from You, You gave it to him, Length of days forever and ever.

5His glory is great through Your salvation, Splendor and majesty You place upon him.

6For You make him most blessed forever; You make him joyful with the joy of Your presence.

7For the king trusts in the LORD, And through the faithfulness of the Most High he will not be shaken.

8Your hand will find all your enemies; Your right hand will find those who hate you.

9You will make them as a fiery oven in the time of your anger; The LORD will swallow them up in His wrath, And fire will devour them.

10You will eliminate their descendants from the earth, And their children from among the sons of mankind.

11Though they intended evil against You And devised a plot, They will not succeed.

12For You will make them turn their back; You will take aim at their faces with Your bowstrings.

13Be exalted, LORD, in Your strength; We will sing and praise Your power.

Psalms 22

1My God, my God, why have You forsaken me? Far from my help are the words of my groaning.

2My God, I cry out by day, but You do not answer; And by night, but I have no rest.

3Yet You are holy, You who are enthroned upon the praises of Israel.

4In You our fathers trusted; They trusted and You rescued them.

5To You they cried out and they fled to safety; In You they trusted and were not disappointed.

6But I am a worm and not a person, A disgrace of mankind and despised by the people.

7All who see me deride me; They sneer, they shake their heads, saying,

8“Turn him over to the LORD; let Him save him; Let Him rescue him, because He delights in him.”

9Yet You are He who brought me forth from the womb; You made me trust when upon my mother’s breasts.

10I was cast upon You from birth; You have been my God from my mother’s womb.

11Do not be far from me, for trouble is near; For there is no one to help.

12Many bulls have surrounded me; Strong bulls of Bashan have encircled me.

13They open their mouths wide at me, As a ravening and roaring lion.

14I am poured out like water, And all my bones are out of joint; My heart is like wax; It is melted within me.

15My strength is dried up like a piece of pottery, And my tongue clings to my jaws; And You lay me in the dust of death.

16For dogs have surrounded me; A band of evildoers has encompassed me; They pierced my hands and my feet.

17I can count all my bones. They look, they stare at me;

18They divide my garments among them, And they cast lots for my clothing.

19But You, LORD, do not be far away; You who are my help, hurry to my assistance.

20Save my soul from the sword, My only life from the power of the dog.

21Save me from the lion’s mouth; From the horns of the wild oxen You answer me.

22I will proclaim Your name to my brothers; In the midst of the assembly I will praise You.

23You who fear the LORD, praise Him; All you descendants of Jacob, glorify Him, And stand in awe of Him, all you descendants of Israel.

24For He has not despised nor scorned the suffering of the afflicted; Nor has He hidden His face from him; But when he cried to Him for help, He heard.

25From You comes my praise in the great assembly; I shall pay my vows before those who fear Him.

26The afflicted will eat and be satisfied; Those who seek Him will praise the LORD. May your heart live forever!

27All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the LORD, And all the families of the nations will worship before You.

28For the kingdom is the LORD’S And He rules over the nations.

29All the prosperous of the earth will eat and worship, All those who go down to the dust will kneel before Him, Even he who cannot keep his soul alive.

30A posterity will serve Him; It will be told of the Lord to the coming generation.

31They will come and will declare His righteousness To a people who will be born, that He has performed it.

Psalms 23

1The LORD is my shepherd, I will not be in need.

2He lets me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters.

3He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness For the sake of His name.

4Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

5You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You have anointed my head with oil; My cup overflows.

6Certainly goodness and faithfulness will follow me all the days of my life, And my dwelling will be in the house of the LORD forever.

Psalms 24

1The earth is the LORD’S, and all it contains, The world, and those who live in it.

2For He has founded it upon the seas And established it upon the rivers.

3Who may ascend onto the hill of the LORD? And who may stand in His holy place?

4One who has clean hands and a pure heart, Who has not lifted up his soul to deceit And has not sworn deceitfully.

5He will receive a blessing from the LORD And righteousness from the God of his salvation.

6This is the generation of those who seek Him, Who seek Your face—even Jacob. Selah

7Lift up your heads, you gates, And be lifted up, you ancient doors, That the King of glory may come in!

8Who is the King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, The LORD mighty in battle.

9Lift up your heads, you gates, And lift them up, you ancient doors, That the King of glory may come in!

10Who is this King of glory? The LORD of armies, He is the King of glory. Selah
