Mark 11

11:1And when they came nigh to Jerusalem, unto Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount of Olives, he sendeth forth two of his disciples,
11:2And saith unto them, Go your way into the village over against you: and as soon as ye be entered into it, ye shall find a colt tied, whereon never man sat; loose him, and bring him.
11:3And if any man say unto you, Why do ye this? say ye that the Lord hath need of him; and straightway he will send him hither.
11:4And they went their way, and found the colt tied by the door without in a place where two ways met; and they loose him.
11:5And certain of them that stood there said unto them, What do ye, loosing the colt?
11:6And they said unto them even as Jesus had commanded: and they let them go.
11:7And they brought the colt to Jesus, and cast their garments on him; and he sat upon him.
11:8And many spread their garments in the way: and others cut down branches off the trees, and strewed them in the way.
11:9And they that went before, and they that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna; Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord:
11:10Blessed be the kingdom of our father David, that cometh in the name of the Lord: Hosanna in the highest.
11:11And Jesus entered into Jerusalem, and into the temple: and when he had looked round about upon all things, and now the eventide was come, he went out unto Bethany with the twelve.
11:12And on the morrow, when they were come from Bethany, he was hungry:
11:13And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find anything thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not yet.
11:14And Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter forever. And his disciples heard it.
11:15And they come to Jerusalem: and Jesus went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves;
11:16And would not suffer that any man should carry any vessel through the temple.
11:17And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but ye have made it a den of thieves.
11:18And the scribes and chief priests heard it, and sought how they might destroy him: for they feared him, because all the people was astonished at his doctrine.
11:19And when even was come, he went out of the city.
11:20And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots.
11:21And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away.
11:22And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
11:23For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
11:24Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
11:25And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have aught against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
11:26But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.
11:27And they come again to Jerusalem: and as he was walking in the temple, there come to him the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders,
11:28And say unto him, By what authority doest thou these things? and who gave thee this authority to do these things?
11:29And Jesus answered and said unto them, I will also ask of you one question, and answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things.
11:30The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or of men? answer me.
11:31And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say, Why then did ye not believe him?
11:32But if we shall say, Of men; they feared the people: for all men counted John, that he was a prophet indeed.
11:33And they answered and said unto Jesus. We cannot tell. And Jesus answering saith unto them, Neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things.

Numbers 2

2:1And the LORD spoke unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,
2:2Every man of the children of Israel shall pitch by his own standard, with the ensign of their father's house: far off about the tabernacle of the congregation shall they pitch.
2:3And on the east side toward the rising of the sun shall they of the standard of the camp of Judah pitch throughout their armies: and Nahshon the son of Amminadab shall be captain of the children of Judah.
2:4And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were threescore and fourteen thousand and six hundred.
2:5And those that do pitch next unto him shall be the tribe of Issachar: and Nethaneel the son of Zuar shall be captain of the children of Issachar.
2:6And his host, and those that were numbered thereof, were fifty and four thousand and four hundred.
2:7Then the tribe of Zebulun: and Eliab the son of Helon shall be captain of the children of Zebulun.
2:8And his host, and those that were numbered thereof, were fifty and seven thousand and four hundred.
2:9All that were numbered in the camp of Judah were a hundred thousand and fourscore thousand and six thousand and four hundred, throughout their armies. These shall first set forth.
2:10On the south side shall be the standard of the camp of Reuben according to their armies: and the captain of the children of Reuben shall be Elizur the son of Shedeur.
2:11And his host, and those that were numbered thereof, were forty and six thousand and five hundred.
2:12And those which pitch by him shall be the tribe of Simeon: and the captain of the children of Simeon shall be Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai.
2:13And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were fifty and nine thousand and three hundred.
2:14Then the tribe of Gad: and the captain of the sons of Gad shall be Eliasaph the son of Reuel.
2:15And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were forty and five thousand and six hundred and fifty.
2:16All that were numbered in the camp of Reuben were a hundred thousand and fifty and one thousand and four hundred and fifty, throughout their armies. And they shall set forth in the second rank.
2:17Then the tabernacle of the congregation shall set forward with the camp of the Levites in the midst of the camp: as they encamp, so shall they set forward, every man in his place by their standards.
2:18On the west side shall be the standard of the camp of Ephraim according to their armies: and the captain of the sons of Ephraim shall be Elishama the son of Ammihud.
2:19And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were forty thousand and five hundred.
2:20And by him shall be the tribe of Manasseh: and the captain of the children of Manasseh shall be Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur.
2:21And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were thirty and two thousand and two hundred.
2:22Then the tribe of Benjamin: and the captain of the sons of Benjamin shall be Abidan the son of Gideoni.
2:23And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were thirty and five thousand and four hundred.
2:24All that were numbered of the camp of Ephraim were a hundred thousand and eight thousand and a hundred, throughout their armies. And they shall go forward in the third rank.
2:25The standard of the camp of Dan shall be on the north side by their armies: and the captain of the children of Dan shall be Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai.
2:26And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were threescore and two thousand and seven hundred.
2:27And those that encamp by him shall be the tribe of Asher: and the captain of the children of Asher shall be Pagiel the son of Ocran.
2:28And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were forty and one thousand and five hundred.
2:29Then the tribe of Naphtali: and the captain of the children of Naphtali shall be Ahira the son of Enan.
2:30And his host, and those that were numbered of them, were fifty and three thousand and four hundred.
2:31All they that were numbered in the camp of Dan were a hundred thousand and fifty and seven thousand and six hundred. They shall go hindmost with their standards.
2:32These are those which were numbered of the children of Israel by the house of their fathers: all those that were numbered of the camps throughout their hosts were six hundred thousand and three thousand and five hundred and fifty.
2:33But the Levites were not numbered among the children of Israel; as the LORD commanded Moses.
2:34And the children of Israel did according to all that the LORD commanded Moses: so they pitched by their standards, and so they set forward, every one after their families, according to the house of their fathers.

Hebrews 7

7:1For this Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him;
7:2To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace;
7:3Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually.
7:4Now consider how great this man was, unto whom even the patriarch Abraham gave the tenth of the spoils.
7:5And verily they that are of the sons of Levi, who receive the office of the priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brethren, though they come out of the loins of Abraham:
7:6But he whose descent is not counted from them received tithes of Abraham, and blessed him that had the promises.
7:7And without all contradiction the less is blessed of the better.
7:8And here men that die receive tithes; but there he receiveth them, of whom it is witnessed that he liveth.
7:9And as I may so say, Levi also, who receiveth tithes, paid tithes in Abraham.
7:10For he was yet in the loins of his father, when Melchizedek met him.
7:11If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchizedek, and not be called after the order of Aaron?
7:12For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.
7:13For he of whom these things are spoken pertaineth to another tribe, of which no man gave attendance at the altar.
7:14For it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Judah; of which tribe Moses spake nothing concerning priesthood.
7:15And it is yet far more evident: for that after the similitude of Melchizedek there ariseth another priest,
7:16Who is made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life.
7:17For he testifieth, Thou art a priest forever after the order of Melchizedek.
7:18For there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof.
7:19For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God.
7:20And inasmuch as not without an oath he was made priest:
7:21(For those priests were made without an oath; but this with an oath by him that said unto him, The Lord swore and will not repent, Thou art a priest forever after the order of Melchizedek: )
7:22By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament.
7:23And they truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to continue by reason of death:
7:24But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood.
7:25Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.
7:26For such a high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;
7:27Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this he did once, when he offered up himself.
7:28For the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the law, maketh the Son, who is consecrated forevermore.

Revelation 3

3:1And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.
3:2Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.
3:3Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.
3:4Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy.
3:5He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
3:6He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
3:7And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth;
3:8I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.
3:9Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.
3:10Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
3:11Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.
3:12Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.
3:13He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
3:14And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;
3:15I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
3:16So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew thee out of my mouth.
3:17Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
3:18I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eye salve, that thou mayest see.
3:19As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
3:20Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
3:21To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
3:22He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

Song of Solomon 4

4:1Behold, thou art fair, my love; behold, thou art fair; thou hast doves' eyes within thy locks: thy hair is as a flock of goats, that appear from mount Gilead.
4:2Thy teeth are like a flock of sheep that are even shorn, which came up from the washing; whereof every one bear twins, and none is barren among them.
4:3Thy lips are like a thread of scarlet, and thy speech is comely: thy temples are like a piece of a pomegranate within thy locks.
4:4Thy neck is like the tower of David built for an armory, whereon there hang a thousand bucklers, all shields of mighty men.
4:5Thy two breasts are like two young roes that are twins, which feed among the lilies.
4:6Until the day break, and the shadows flee away, I will get me to the mountain of myrrh, and to the hill of frankincense.
4:7Thou art all fair, my love; there is no spot in thee.
4:8Come with me from Lebanon, my spouse, with me from Lebanon: look from the top of Amana, from the top of Shenir and Hermon, from the lions' dens, from the mountains of the leopards.
4:9Thou hast ravished my heart, my sister, my spouse; thou hast ravished my heart with one of thine eyes, with one chain of thy neck.
4:10How fair is thy love, my sister, my spouse! how much better is thy love than wine! and the smell of thine ointments than all spices!
4:11Thy lips, O my spouse, drop as the honeycomb: honey and milk are under thy tongue; and the smell of thy garments is like the smell of Lebanon.
4:12A garden enclosed is my sister, my spouse; a spring shut up, a fountain sealed.
4:13Thy plants are an orchard of pomegranates, with pleasant fruits; camphire, with spikenard,
4:14Spikenard and saffron; calamus and cinnamon, with all trees of frankincense; myrrh and aloes, with all the chief spices:
4:15A fountain of gardens, a well of living waters, and streams from Lebanon.
4:16Awake, O north wind; and come, thou south; blow upon my garden, that the spices thereof may flow out. Let my beloved come into his garden, and eat his pleasant fruits.

Psalms 6

6:1To the chief Musician on Neginoth upon Sheminith, A Psalm of David. O LORD, rebuke me not in thine anger, neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure.
6:2Have mercy upon me, O LORD; for I am weak: O LORD, heal me; for my bones are vexed.
6:3My soul is also sore vexed: but thou, O LORD, how long?
6:4Return, O LORD, deliver my soul: oh save me for thy mercies' sake.
6:5For in death there is no remembrance of thee: in the grave who shall give thee thanks?
6:6I am weary with my groaning; all the night make I my bed to swim; I water my couch with my tears.
6:7Mine eye is consumed because of grief; it waxeth old because of all mine enemies.
6:8Depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity; for the LORD hath heard the voice of my weeping.
6:9The LORD hath heard my supplication; the LORD will receive my prayer.
6:10Let all mine enemies be ashamed and sore vexed: let them return and be ashamed suddenly.

Proverbs 27

27:1Boast not thyself of tomorrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth.
27:2Let another man praise thee, and not thine own mouth; a stranger, and not thine own lips.
27:3A stone is heavy, and the sand weighty; but a fool's wrath is heavier than them both.
27:4Wrath is cruel, and anger is outrageous; but who is able to stand before envy?
27:5Open rebuke is better than secret love.
27:6Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.
27:7The full soul loatheth a honeycomb; but to the hungry soul every bitter thing is sweet.
27:8As a bird that wandereth from her nest, so is a man that wandereth from his place.
27:9Ointment and perfume rejoice the heart: so doth the sweetness of a man's friend by hearty counsel.
27:10Thine own friend, and thy father's friend, forsake not; neither go into thy brother's house in the day of thy calamity: for better is a neighbor that is near than a brother far off.
27:11My son, be wise, and make my heart glad, that I may answer him that reproacheth me.
27:12A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself; but the simple pass on, and are punished.
27:13Take his garment that is surety for a stranger, and take a pledge of him for a strange woman.
27:14He that blesseth his friend with a loud voice, rising early in the morning, it shall be counted a curse to him.
27:15A continual dropping in a very rainy day and a contentious woman are alike.
27:16Whosoever hideth her hideth the wind, and the ointment of his right hand, which betrayeth itself.
27:17Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.
27:18Whoso keepeth the fig tree shall eat the fruit thereof: so he that waiteth on his master shall be honored.
27:19As in water face answereth to face, so the heart of man to man.
27:20Hell and destruction are never full; so the eyes of man are never satisfied.
27:21As the refining pot for silver, and the furnace for gold; so is a man to his praise.
27:22Though thou shouldest bray a fool in a mortar among wheat with a pestle, yet will not his foolishness depart from him.
27:23Be thou diligent to know the state of thy flocks, and look well to thy herds.
27:24For riches are not forever: and doth the crown endure to every generation?
27:25The hay appeareth, and the tender grass showeth itself, and herbs of the mountains are gathered.
27:26The lambs are for thy clothing, and the goats are the price of the field.
27:27And thou shalt have goats' milk enough for thy food, for the food of thy household, and for the maintenance for thy maidens.

1 Samuel 8

8:1And it came to pass, when Samuel was old, that he made his sons judges over Israel.
8:2Now the name of his firstborn was Joel; and the name of his second, Abiah: they were judges in Beer-sheba.
8:3And his sons walked not in his ways, but turned aside after lucre, and took bribes, and perverted judgment.
8:4Then all the elders of Israel gathered themselves together, and came to Samuel unto Ramah,
8:5And said unto him, Behold, thou art old, and thy sons walk not in thy ways: now make us a king to judge us like all the nations.
8:6But the thing displeased Samuel, when they said, Give us a king to judge us. And Samuel prayed unto the LORD.
8:7And the LORD said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee: for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me, that I should not reign over them.
8:8According to all the works which they have done since the day that I brought them up out of Egypt even unto this day, wherewith they have forsaken me, and served other gods, so do they also unto thee.
8:9Now therefore hearken unto their voice: howbeit yet protest solemnly unto them, and show them the manner of the king that shall reign over them.
8:10And Samuel told all the words of the LORD unto the people that asked of him a king.
8:11And he said, This will be the manner of the king that shall reign over you: He will take your sons, and appoint them for himself, for his chariots, and to be his horsemen; and some shall run before his chariots.
8:12And he will appoint him captains over thousands, and captains over fifties; and will set them to ear his ground, and to reap his harvest, and to make his instruments of war, and instruments of his chariots.
8:13And he will take your daughters to be confectionaries, and to be cooks, and to be bakers.
8:14And he will take your fields, and your vineyards, and your oliveyards, even the best of them, and give them to his servants.
8:15And he will take the tenth of your seed, and of your vineyards, and give to his officers, and to his servants.
8:16And he will take your menservants, and your maidservants, and your goodliest young men, and your asses, and put them to his work.
8:17He will take the tenth of your sheep: and ye shall be his servants.
8:18And ye shall cry out in that day because of your king which ye shall have chosen you; and the LORD will not hear you in that day.
8:19Nevertheless the people refused to obey the voice of Samuel; and they said, Nay; but we will have a king over us;
8:20That we also may be like all the nations; and that our king may judge us, and go out before us, and fight our battles.
8:21And Samuel heard all the words of the people, and he rehearsed them in the ears of the LORD.
8:22And the LORD said to Samuel, Hearken unto their voice, and make them a king. And Samuel said unto the men of Israel, Go ye every man unto his city.

Isaiah 56

56:1Thus saith the LORD, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.
56:2Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.
56:3Neither let the son of the stranger, that hath joined himself to the LORD, speak, saying, The LORD hath utterly separated me from his people: neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree.
56:4For thus saith the LORD unto the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and take hold of my covenant;
56:5Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.
56:6Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the LORD, to serve him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant;
56:7Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called a house of prayer for all people.
56:8The Lord GOD which gathereth the outcasts of Israel saith, Yet will I gather others to him, beside those that are gathered unto him.
56:9All ye beasts of the field, come to devour, yea, all ye beasts in the forest.
56:10His watchmen are blind: they are all ignorant, they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber.
56:11Yea, they are greedy dogs which can never have enough, and they are shepherds that cannot understand: they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter.
56:12Come ye, say they, I will fetch wine, and we will fill ourselves with strong drink; and tomorrow shall be as this day, and much more abundant.

Acts 26

26:1Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Thou art permitted to speak for thyself. Then Paul stretched forth the hand, and answered for himself:
26:2I think myself happy, king Agrippa, because I shall answer for myself this day before thee touching all the things whereof I am accused of the Jews:
26:3Especially because I know thee to be expert in all customs and questions which are among the Jews: wherefore I beseech thee to hear me patiently.
26:4My manner of life from my youth, which was at the first among mine own nation at Jerusalem, know all the Jews;
26:5Which knew me from the beginning, if they would testify, that after the most straitest sect of our religion I lived a Pharisee.
26:6And now I stand and am judged for the hope of the promise made of God unto our fathers:
26:7Unto which promise our twelve tribes, instantly serving God day and night, hope to come. For which hope's sake, king Agrippa, I am accused of the Jews.
26:8Why should it be thought a thing incredible with you, that God should raise the dead?
26:9I verily thought with myself, that I ought to do many things contrary to the name of Jesus of Nazareth.
26:10Which thing I also did in Jerusalem: and many of the saints did I shut up in prison, having received authority from the chief priests; and when they were put to death, I gave my voice against them.
26:11And I punished them oft in every synagogue, and compelled them to blaspheme; and being exceedingly mad against them, I persecuted them even unto strange cities.
26:12Whereupon as I went to Damascus with authority and commission from the chief priests,
26:13At midday, O king, I saw in the way a light from heaven, above the brightness of the sun, shining round about me and them which journeyed with me.
26:14And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.
26:15And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest.
26:16But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee;
26:17Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee,
26:18To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.
26:19Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision:
26:20But showed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.
26:21For these causes the Jews caught me in the temple, and went about to kill me.
26:22Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come:
26:23That Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should show light unto the people, and to the Gentiles.
26:24And as he thus spake for himself, Festus said with a loud voice, Paul, thou art beside thyself; much learning doth make thee mad.
26:25But he said, I am not mad, most noble Festus; but I speak forth the words of truth and soberness.
26:26For the king knoweth of these things, before whom also I speak freely: for I am persuaded that none of these things are hidden from him; for this thing was not done in a corner.
26:27King Agrippa, believest thou the prophets? I know that thou believest.
26:28Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian.
26:29And Paul said, I would to God, that not only thou, but also all that hear me this day, were both almost, and altogether such as I am, except these bonds.
26:30And when he had thus spoken, the king rose up, and the governor, and Bernice, and they that sat with them:
26:31And when they were gone aside, they talked between themselves, saying, This man doeth nothing worthy of death or of bonds.
26:32Then said Agrippa unto Festus, This man might have been set at liberty, if he had not appealed unto Caesar.
