Back (Adverb), Backside, Backward

connected with hepomai, "to follow," is used adverbially, of place, with the meaning "back," "backward," in the phrase eis ta opiso, lit., "unto the things behind," in Mar 13:16, Luk 9:62, Luk 17:31, Joh 6:66, Joh 18:6, Joh 20:14. Cp. Phi 3:13, "the things which are behind." See BEHIND.
