Matthew 4:1 - Matthew 4:2 - And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward hungry. Matthew 4:3 - And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. Matthew 4:4 - But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. Matthew 4:21 - And going on from thence, he saw other two brethren, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in a ship with Zebedee their father, mending their nets; and he called them. Matthew 4:22 - And they immediately left the ship and their father, and followed him. Matthew 4:23 - Matthew 4:24 - And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatic, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them. Matthew 6:8 - Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him. Matthew 6:9 - After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Matthew 6:10 - Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Matthew 6:11 - Give us this day our daily bread. Matthew 6:12 - And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. Matthew 6:13 - And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen. Matthew 6:14 - Matthew 6:15 - But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. Matthew 6:16 - Matthew 6:17 - But thou, when thou fastest, anoint thine head, and wash thy face; Matthew 6:18 - Matthew 6:19 - Matthew 6:20 - Matthew 6:21 - For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. Matthew 6:22 - Matthew 6:23 - But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness! Matthew 6:24 - Matthew 6:25 - Matthew 6:26 - Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? Matthew 6:27 - Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? Matthew 6:28 - And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: Matthew 6:29 - Matthew 6:30 - Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? Matthew 6:31 - Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? Matthew 6:32 - (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek: ) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. Matthew 6:33 - But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:34 - Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. |
