Living Water

Therefore you will joyously draw water From the springs of salvation.

“The poor and needy are seeking water, but there is none, And their tongues are parched with thirst. I, the LORD, will answer them Myself; As the God of Israel I will not abandon them.

I will open rivers on the bare heights, And springs in the midst of the valleys; I will make the wilderness a pool of water, And the dry land fountains of water.

For I will pour water on the thirsty land And streams on the dry ground; I will pour out My Spirit on your offspring, And My blessing on your descendants;

And the LORD will continually guide you, And satisfy your desire in scorched places, And give strength to your bones; And you will be like a watered garden, And like a spring of water whose waters do not fail.

“For My people have committed two evils: They have abandoned Me, The fountain of living waters, To carve out for themselves cisterns, Broken cisterns That do not hold water.

Jesus answered and said to her, “Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again;

but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never be thirsty; but the water that I will give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up to eternal life.”

The woman *said to Him, “Sir, give me this water so that I will not be thirsty, nor come all the way here to draw water.”

Now on the last day, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone is thirsty,let him come to Me and drink.

The one who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, ‘From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.’ ”

But this He said in reference to the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were to receive; for the Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.

They will no longer hunger nor thirst, nor will the sun beat down on them, nor any scorching heat;

for the Lamb in the center of the throne will be their shepherd, and will guide them to springs of the water of life; and God will wipe every tear from their eyes.”

Then He said to me, “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give water to the one who thirsts from the spring of the water of life, without cost.

And he showed me a river of the water of life, clear as crystal, coming from the throne of God and of the Lamb,

The Spirit and the bride say, “Come.” And let the one who hears say, “Come.” And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires, take the water of life without cost.
