Genesis
This is how you are to make it: The ark will be 450 feet long, 75 feet wide, and 45 feet high.
You are to take with you seven pairs, a male and its female, of all the clean animals, and two of the animals that are not clean, a male and its female,
and seven pairs, male and female, of the birds of the sky — in order to keep offspring alive throughout the earth.
two of each, male and female, came to Noah and entered the ark, just as God had commanded him.
Seven days later the floodwaters came on the earth.
In the six hundred and first year, in the first month, on the first day of the month, the water that had covered the earth was dried up. Then Noah removed the ark’s cover and saw that the surface of the ground was drying.
By the twenty-seventh day of the second month, the earth was dry.
Then God spoke to Noah,
“Come out of the ark, you, your wife, your sons, and your sons’ wives with you.
Bring out all the living creatures that are with you — birds, livestock, those that crawl on the earth — and they will spread over the earth and be fruitful and multiply on the earth.”
Hebrews
By faith Noah, after he was warned about what was not yet seen and motivated by godly fear, built an ark to deliver his family. By faith he condemned the world and became an heir of the righteousness that comes by faith.
1 Peter
For Christ also suffered for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring you to God. He was put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit,
in which he also went and made proclamation to the spirits in prison
who in the past were disobedient, when God patiently waited in the days of Noah while the ark was being prepared. In it a few — that is, eight people — were saved through water.
Baptism, which corresponds to this, now saves you (not as the removal of dirt from the body, but the pledge of a good conscience toward God) through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,
who has gone into heaven and is at the right hand of God with angels, authorities, and powers subject to him.
