Genesis 2:2 - And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.

Exodus 16:27 - And it came to pass, that there went out some of the people on the seventh day for to gather, and they found none.
Exodus 16:28 - And the LORD said unto Moses, How long refuse ye to keep my commandments and my laws?
Exodus 16:29 - See, for that the LORD hath given you the sabbath, therefore he giveth you on the sixth day the bread of two days; abide ye every man in his place, let no man go out of his place on the seventh day.
Exodus 16:30 - So the people rested on the seventh day. |
Exodus 20:8 - Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.

Psalms 92:6 - A brutish man knoweth not; neither doth a fool understand this.
Psalms 92:7 - When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; it is that they shall be destroyed forever:
Psalms 92:8 - But thou, LORD, art most high forevermore.
Psalms 92:9 - For, lo, thine enemies, O LORD, for, lo, thine enemies shall perish; all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered.
Psalms 92:10 - But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of a unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil.
Psalms 92:11 - Mine eye also shall see my desire on mine enemies, and mine ears shall hear my desire of the wicked that rise up against me.
Psalms 92:12 - The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
Psalms 92:13 - Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God.
Psalms 92:14 - They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing;
Psalms 92:15 - To show that the LORD is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him. |
Isaiah 56:2 - Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil. |

Luke 13:15 - The Lord then answered him, and said, Thou hypocrite, doth not each one of you on the sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the stall, and lead him away to watering?
Luke 13:16 - And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day?
Luke 13:17 - And when he had said these things, all his adversaries were ashamed: and all the people rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by him. |
